Lead Developer

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead the design, development, and support of the AFH data lake and enterprise integration landscape. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable cloud-based data pipelines, ETL processes, APIs, and event-driven integrations. You will provide architectural guidance, technical leadership, and mentoring to modernize AFH data and integration capabilities. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on reliability, security, and delivering value through data solutions in a hybrid environment. Compensation / Benefits * Lead the design and delivery of the AFH AWS Data Lake and enterprise integration landscape * Design scalable cloud pipelines, ETL processes, APIs, event-driven and file-based interfaces * Direct medium to large projects and coordinate development resources * Create implementation plans, data mapping, and technical design artifacts * Evaluate modern cloud technologies and automation opportunities * Lead end-to-end testing, deployments, and hypercare support * Troubleshoot complex integration, orchestration, and data quality issues * Maintain AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, S3-based integrations, and related services * Develop and maintain technical documentation and SOPs * Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions * Promote reliability, scalability, and supportability of AFH data and integrations * Champion DevOps, CI/CD, IaC, and modern cloud engineering practices * Mentor junior developers and coordinate technical activities across teams * Support critical business initiatives and enterprise-wide projects requiring technical leadership Tasks * 5+ years of development experience * Bachelor's degree in STEM or specialized IT training * Proficiency with AWS: Lambda, Glue, S3, Step Functions, CloudFormation * Strong Python and SQL development for data transformation and integration * Experience designing and supporting enterprise data integrations, ETL, APIs, and file interfaces * Experience across SDLC and formal delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, DevOps, or hybrid) * Troubleshooting complex applications and data quality issues * Proficiency with GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD * Understanding of data structures, relational databases, data modeling, and integration patterns * Ability to estimate and propose technical approaches for complex requirements * Ability to lead technical activities for medium to large projects and mentor others * Strong written and verbal communication for technical and business audiences * Experience supporting production and critical business operations Key requirements *
