Job description

An employer in the Dayton, Ohio area is seeking a TS/SCI Data Scientist for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This individual will play a key role in supporting customer cloud infrastructure and enterprise data initiatives by partnering with cloud and development teams to understand and address evolving data requirements. Responsibilities include organizing and normalizing data into a centralized data environment, developing APIs and data services to enable access to shared data sources, and ensuring data governance, quality, security, and lifecycle management best practices are followed. The ideal candidate will also design scalable and secure cloud-based data architectures, develop dashboards and reporting solutions using tools such as Tableau or Power BI, and help align data strategies with Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) mission objectives. Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI clearance and be comfortable working onsite five days per week., Active TS/SCI Security Clearance Bachelors Degree or 6 years of experience in lieu of 6+ years of experience in Data Science Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-based data storage and processing. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present data insights effectively. Proficiency with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data warehousing solutions.
