Job description
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Application Developer / Lead to support an application development initiative for United Airlines. This individual will help lead architecture and technical design efforts while remaining hands-on with development activities. They will mentor engineering teams, establish development standards, oversee code quality, and drive implementation of scalable AWS-based solutions. The role will work closely with product, business, and engineering stakeholders to deliver secure, resilient applications utilizing modern engineering practices, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code, and AI-assisted development tools
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience including leadership/mentorship responsibilities
- Strong backend development experience using .NET and REST APIs
- Hands-on experience building cloud-native applications on AWS
- Experience with microservices, serverless architectures, and distributed systems
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code
- Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimization
- Experience mentoring developers and leading technical discussions
- Angular experience
- Terraform experience
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Kafka, Solace, or other event-driven messaging platforms
- AWS certifications
