THE PROJECT
- The Schengen Information System (SIS), created in 1995, is the most widely used and important information exchange system for border security and management in Europe, in order to respond to the lack of internal border controls in the Schengen countries.
- The SIS contains alerts of persons and objects accompanied by measures to be taken. Such alerts shall be submitted and consulted by the competent national authorities of the Member States.
- The SIS consists of a central part (CSIS) and a national part (NSIS). The national part is developed and managed within DRI/BINAT.
- In 2013, the second generation of the SIS (SIS II) was introduced, with additional features, such as the ability to add fingerprints and photographs to reports.
- In March 2023, the SIS was renewed (SIS Recast) with new alerts, improved data and more advanced functionalities.
WHAT WILL YOUR MISSIONS BE?
- Design, develop, maintain, evolve and test computer applications on the basis of prior functional and technical analyses.
- Ensure quality monitoring and development of multi-user, high-availability, and high-visibility applications.
- Keeping up with technological developments
- Provide technical advice in your specific area of knowledge while proposing possible adaptations to projects.
- Analyze user needs.
- Write technical documentation.
- Maintain applications.
- Ensure adequate technical support for applications.
- Provide help/coaching to your colleagues.
- Work on the full development cycle, Back (Web-Services) and Front-End

Requirements
- Be a graduate or graduate in computer science or equivalent by experience.
- Be a French or Dutch speaker and be willing to work in a multilingual environment (French, Dutch, English)

- Essential technical knowledge:
- PHP 5.6 & 7, Javascript
- Angular JS, Ajax, JQuery
- Divers Framework PHP (CodeIgniter),
