Software Test Engineer at Safransed. About the role As a Software Test Engineer at Safransed, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to enhance product performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can contribute to the continuous improvement of our software solutions., * Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on software specifications and requirements to ensure thorough coverage of all functionalities.

  • Execute manual and automated tests to validate software performance, functionality, and security across various platforms and devices.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using industry-standard bug tracking tools, ensuring timely resolution in collaboration with the development team.
  • Participate in code reviews and design discussions to provide input on testability and quality aspects of software features.
  • Collaborate closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Conduct regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionalities.
  • Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders, highlighting areas for improvement and potential risks.
  • Stay updated with the latest testing methodologies and tools, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance testing processes and practices.
  • Mentor junior testers and provide guidance on best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Assist in the creation of user documentation and training materials to support end-users in utilizing software products effectively.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure alignment with team goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance, with a strong understanding of testing methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, test scripts, and test plans.
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar frameworks.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation purposes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies is preferred., * Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Understanding of security testing principles and practices.
  • Previous experience in a startup or fast-growing technology company.
