Job description

We are seeking a Software Developer to join our Development Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, supporting, and enhancing a range of applications, integrations, and digital solutions. Working closely with project managers, analysts, technical specialists, and stakeholders, the role will contribute to the delivery of secure, reliable, and scalable systems while adopting industry best practices and emerging technologies., * Develop, maintain, and support software applications using Microsoft technologies, including C#, .NET, .NET Core, and related development frameworks.

  • Design and deliver responsive, accessible, and user-friendly web applications using Angular, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, and SCSS.
  • Work with stakeholders, business analysts, and technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain system integrations using healthcare messaging standards, including HL7 and FHIR, and integration technologies such as Lyniate Rhapsody.
  • Design, develop, and support SQL Server databases, ensuring data integrity, security, performance optimisation, and high availability.
  • Build, maintain, and document secure RESTful APIs and web services to support interoperability between internal and external systems.
  • Produce high-quality, maintainable code in line with agreed standards, development methodologies, and coding best practices.
  • Perform unit testing, support integration testing, participate in code reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to ensure solution quality and reliability.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application, integration, and database issues, providing ongoing support and enhancements where required.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, support materials, and operational procedures.
  • Keep up to date with emerging technologies, frameworks, development practices, and industry standards, recommending improvements where appropriate.
  • Support knowledge sharing, mentoring, and collaboration across the wider development team.

Requirements

  • Experience developing and supporting applications using C#, .NET, .NET Core, and related Microsoft technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Front End development technologies, including Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SCSS, and responsive design principles.
  • Experience developing and supporting RESTful APIs, web services, and system integrations.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server database design, development, administration, optimisation, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with HL7, FHIR, integration engines, or similar interoperability technologies would be advantageous.
  • Good understanding of software development life cycles, testing methodologies, version control, and Agile delivery practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, deliver high-quality solutions to agreed timescales, and adapt to changing business requirements.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, maintaining technical expertise, and contributing to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
