Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will advance mission-relevant analytics for a SOCOM partner by building predictive models, NLP solutions, and AI/ML applications. You'll transform diverse data into trainable formats, validate models, and deliver decision-ready insights for resource planning and modernization. You will work within a cross-functional data science team to deliver secure, production-ready products and dashboards. This is a high-impact role focused on mission success within a government context, leveraging state-of-the-art techniques to inform strategic decisions. Compensation / Benefits * Analyze historical datasets to identify trends and features for predictive modeling * Prepare and transform structured and unstructured data into machine-learning-ready formats * Develop, test, and validate predictive models with target accuracy and monitoring * Establish validation, back-testing, sensitivity, and error analysis frameworks * Create NLP and generative AI solutions tailored to business, operational, and intelligence use cases * Collaborate with AI/ML engineers, data engineers, software developers, cybersecurity personnel, and stakeholders to integrate outputs into secure applications * Support governance, sustainment, and adoption of data science and AI/ML products across teams * Communicate complex findings into actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders * Maintain documentation of data sources, methodologies, models, and workflows * Provide rapid-response analytical support and knowledge transfer for mission priorities Tasks * Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret * On-site work at Fort Bragg, NC * Bachelor in a quantitative field * Five+ years of experience in data science, analytics, statistical modeling or ML * Proven experience developing and validating predictive models (time-series, regression, ensemble) * Advanced Python and SQL proficiency; experience with data science libraries; R as substitute where appropriate * Strong knowledge of statistics, feature engineering, model selection, tuning, cross-validation, error analysis, performance metrics * Experience preprocessing large, varied datasets for analysis and training * Experience with NLP, generative AI, LLMs, or retrieval-augmented generation * Ability to evaluate models against strict accuracy and communicate tradeoffs and risks * Experience producing technical reports, dashboards, briefings for diverse stakeholders * Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work across multiple teams * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Key requirements *
