Job description

This is a full-time role for a Software Engineer/Computer Scientist. In this position you will integrate the R&D team in charge of developing the next generation HiFi flow simulation software system for Weather Forecast. As part of the numerical technology group, you will extend the core solver technology, will conduct research, analyze data, develop creative algorithms and innovative solutions to complex problems. Responsibilities extend PrediQT's new solver numerics and algorithmic towards Weather and Climate applications Program native GPU coding test and validate your new development on verification and well documented experiments Participate to scientific conference in the field of Weather ForecastWrite documentation and scientific papers Write documentation and scientific papers

Requirements

We expect our team members to bring ideas, creativity and rhythm in the development of the first High-Fidelity Software for industrial and environmental flow simulations, with experience and strong background. Education details A PhD's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is a prerequisite. Required Skills Deep knowledge of the numerical weather prediction (NWP) codes, at the programmation level, with exposure to WRF, ERF, FastEddy or similar codes Advanced CFD numerical methods C, C++, Cuda, Python... Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) GPU architecture and native GPU programming Soft Skills Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Creative, communicative and team working Experience in weather and climate science industries Preferred Skills Advanced CFD numerical methods Cuda, kokkos parallel programming
