Job description
If you want engineering problems with real teeth, this is that role. This Backend Engineering team is constantly wrestling with how to process, correlate and act on runtime data at enterprise scale, across graph databases, event streams and messaging systems, all while keeping the platform fast, stable and secure. You will take features from first design through to production, work hands-on across Kubernetes and every major cloud provider, and have your fixes and decisions felt by customers almost immediately given how early stage this still is., * Own projects end to end, from design and development through to deployment, monitoring and maintenance in production
- Contribute to technical and architectural decisions on complex, data-intensive systems
- Conduct thorough design and code reviews
- Continuously analyse and improve efficiency, scalability and stability across backend components
- Partner with Frontend and DevOps to deliver features end to end
Requirements
- 1+ years' experience in backend engineering using a high-level language such as Go, Java, C#, Python or Node.js
- Experience with cloud platforms and products (AWS, GCP or Azure)
- Experience implementing data-intensive systems (databases, event systems, messaging systems)
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD)
- Experience with microservices-based architecture
- BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
Desirable / Nice to Have:
- Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, Neo4j, ElasticSearch, Redis, TimescaleDB or RabbitMQ
- A genuine interest in cloud security and how attackers think
