Experteer Overview In this role you will architect, implement, and support enterprise AI initiatives to advance LLNL's mission. You'll collaborate with AI engineers, IT and leadership to drive AI-driven improvements in workflows and infrastructure. You will build scalable AI pipelines, ensure security alignment, and evaluate emerging AI tech to expand capabilities. The position blends hands-on implementation with strategic planning in a dynamic, highly technical environment. This opportunity offers impact at scale within a national laboratory setting. Compensation / Benefits * Analyze operational inefficiencies and propose AI-driven solutions * Leverage automation to optimize workflows, monitoring, and configuration management for AI frameworks and platforms * Develop robust AI pipelines and infrastructure aligned with goals and business requirements * Ensure AI infrastructure complies with security policies in collaboration with Cyber Security * Evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies and tools to enhance infrastructure capabilities * Monitor AI infrastructure performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement scalable, reliable, cost-efficient solutions * Oversee lifecycle of AI systems architectures (SES.4 level) including requirements, design, testing, deployment, upgrades, and performance optimization * Mentor team members to enhance AI skills across the organization Tasks * US DOE Q-level security clearance (US citizenship required) * Bachelor in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or related field * Significant Python, R, or similar AI-focused programming experience with automation scripting * Advanced NLP tools and techniques with SpaCy, NLTK, or Hugging Face * Hands-on experience with at least three AI/GenAI tools/frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Co-Pilot, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Bedrock, Hugging Face, RAG) * Experience with at least two automation/IaC tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, Puppet, Jenkins) * Systems programming experience for containerized, cloud-based, secure web applications * Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and effective communication Key requirements * Flexible Benefits Package * 401(k) * Relocation Assistance * Education Reimbursement Program * Flexible schedules * Hybrid work option
