Job description

Experteer Overview As Manager of Data Science at CLA, you will lead the design and delivery of data-driven solutions that blend data wrangling, visualization, and advanced modeling into scalable workflows. You will guide a team within Internal IT, shaping analytics and AI initiatives that support business outcomes and enterprise strategy. You'll work cross-functionally to productionize models, ensure governance, and drive impact through data-informed decision making. This role offers hands-on leadership in a growth-focused climate with opportunities to influence new business through analytics and AI. Compensation / Benefits * Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and performance management of the data science team * Mentor analysts, support onboarding and continuous learning * Plan workloads, prioritize, and allocate resources for multiple initiatives * Lead large-scale analytics and AI projects including data transformation, modeling, automation, and insight generation * Oversee methodologies, reproducibility, and scientific rigor for analytical approaches and AI systems * Guide development of advanced statistical, ML, and AI-driven solutions (predictive models, computer vision, LLMs, agent-based systems) * Design and oversee AI-enabled systems (prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, agentive workflows) * Establish and evolve best practices, documentation standards, and governance for analytics and AI * Partner with engineering, IT, and data platform teams to ensure scalable, governed solutions * Own delivery outcomes, translate business objectives into analytical priorities, and ensure production readiness * Monitor performance, validate results, troubleshoot data/model/AI issues * Communicate progress and risks clearly to technical and non-technical audiences * Evaluate new data sources, technologies, and tools and contribute to enterprise analytics strategy * Support cross-office coordination and alignment of analytical approaches Tasks * 8 years of relevant experience * Experience in data analytics, statistics, data science, AI, financial consulting, computer science or related field * Experience with APIs, web scraping, SQL/no-SQL databases, and cloud-based data solutions * Supervisory/leadership experience * Bachelor's degree required * Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Analytics, Data Science, AI or related field preferred Key requirements * health, dental, vision * 401k * wellbeing and comprehensive benefits
