Day-to-Day:
This individual will support Client's Connected Truck and OTAP (Over-the-Air Programming) initiatives, serving as the technical owner for applications that enable vehicle connectivity, remote diagnostics, and software deployments. The role is roughly 60% application/service support and 40% data/reporting, with responsibilities including monitoring application performance, troubleshooting production issues, coordinating software rollouts, and ensuring data is flowing properly between trucks and the vehicles systems. They will also build and maintain dashboards (primarily in Tableau) to provide visibility into system health, operational performance, and issue trends.
The Technical Application Manager will work closely with a team of 3-4 Data Analysts, along with cross-functional technical and business stakeholders. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. Success in the role will come from taking ownership of connected vehicle applications, proactively identifying and resolving issues, leveraging data to drive decisions, and serving as a key bridge between application support, telematics operations, and analytics teams. Candidates who have worked in connected vehicle, telematics, IoT, or devices-to-cloud environments and can effectively balance technical troubleshooting with stakeholder communication will be the strongest fit.
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of technical support experience in an IoT environment, ideally supporting connected devices, applications, or data platforms.
- Telematics experience with an understanding of vehicle data, connectivity, and data flow.
- Connected Vehicle experience supporting applications, platforms, or services in an automotive or fleet environment.
- Remote Diagnostics experience troubleshooting issues, performing root cause analysis, and driving incident resolution.
- Strong IoT background supporting software deployments, production issues, and devices-to-cloud ecosystems.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Basic understanding of dashboards and reporting tools, with the ability to use data to identify issues and drive improvements.
