Experteer Overview In this role, you will develop embedded software for Brooks Robotics Automation, driving reliable control of robot motion and vacuum subsystems. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to define features that win design-in opportunities and improve software quality through testing and DevOps practices. You'll help design test rigs, support field issues, and contribute to a culture of zero defects. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape automation solutions for semiconductor manufacturing. Compensation / Benefits * Develop embedded software for robot motion control and vacuum subsystem interfaces * Collaborate with product management and customers to define new product features * Create and communicate software requirements and participate in design reviews * Ensure software quality through automated testing and best practices * Contribute to DevOps improvements and tool evaluations for zero defects * Contribute to test equipment design and setup of robotic hardware/systems * Support manufacturing and field service in troubleshooting issues Tasks * Proficiency in C++11 or later * Experience with embedded real-time systems (multi-threading, interrupts) * Experience with BSP and low-level hardware interfaces (FPGA integration, HAL, board bring-up) * Object-oriented design and SDLC with version control and Agile environments * Experience with robotics, kinematics/dynamics, or motion planning (plus) * Experience with EtherCAT software stack * Familiarity with Machine Learning (plus) * Familiarity with Python, JavaScript, MATLAB or similar scripting languages (plus) Key requirements * Medical, Dental, Vision and Disability Insurance * 401(k) Plan * Exempt employees: company paid holidays * Flexible Vacation
