Experteer Overview As a Software QA Engineer at Nokia, you will ensure the quality and reliability of optical networking solutions. You will design and implement test strategies and automation for DWDM, OTN, Ethernet, and related interfaces, contributing across the testing lifecycle with manual and automated approaches. You will drive CI/CD-enabled testing to support fast, high-quality releases and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align tests with customer needs. Compensation / Benefits * Design and implement comprehensive test plans for Layer 0 (DWDM) and Layer 1 (OTN, Ethernet) across Long Haul, DCI, and Metro systems * Execute protocol-based testing across L0 and L1 features, including FCAPS, NBI automation, and system security * Develop automated test scenarios and maintain test automation frameworks using programming tools * Contribute to system development lifecycle by translating requirements into effective test plans * Support evaluation of next-generation operating systems aligned with microservices and containerization * Drive continuous testing to improve reliability and product quality * Take ownership of product qualification deliverables and ensure proactive, self-driven execution * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize test scenarios for faster feature delivery Tasks * Bachelor's degree in ECE, Computer Science, or EEE plus 3+ years of embedded optical network element system testing * Proficiency in test planning, execution, and defect tracking with standard tools * Strong programming skills in Python (or similar) for test automation * Hands-on experience with NBI interfaces (CLI, NETCONF, RESTCONF, gRPC) in embedded environments * Experience with DWDM, OTN, Ethernet, GMPLS, and security testing Key requirements * Flexible and hybrid working * Medical insurance for you and your family * Maternity and Paternity Leave * Career growth and mobility * Continuous learning * Well-being programs
