Senior Application Security Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will help advance PTR Global's cybersecurity strategy by architecting and operating security controls for enterprise applications. You will work with the Cloud Security & Developer Enablement team to enable secure software delivery through automation and DevSecOps practices. You will define security rules for web and mobile apps across languages and ensure scalable, resilient security platforms. Your work will influence code integrity in repositories and embedding security into CI/CD workflows. This is a hands-on, impact-driven opportunity to shape secure development at scale. Compensation / Benefits * Implement organization-specific security policies in CI/CD security tools (SAST, OSS, SCA) * Collaborate with Development, DevOps and Security to build automated security and compliance capabilities for DevSecOps * Define security rules for web and mobile applications (.NET, Java, React, Python, etc.) * Provide a secure, stable platform for enforcing application security controls * Support security standards and architectural patterns to improve resiliency and scalability of the security platform * Collaborate with partners to implement and optimize security measures within GitHub repositories to safeguard code integrity Tasks * 5+ years of software development experience using Python * Experience with REST APIs * Proficiency in unit testing frameworks and multi-process/multi-thread architectures * 5+ years of Linux experience with strong bash scripting * Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines * Working knowledge of Windows environments and basic scripting * Bachelor's degree with 10+ years IT field experience * Ability to process large datasets for reporting and analysis Key requirements * medical * dental * vision * 401K contributions * PTO * sick leave
