Job description

As part of a strategic application modernization and platform transformation initiative, we are looking for a Principal Software Architect to lead the architecture and technical direction of complex software platforms spanning on-device applications, cloud environments, and SaaS solutions.

Missions

  • Define and drive end-to-end software architecture strategy across device, application, cloud, and SaaS platforms.
  • Lead architecture/design reviews and provide technical leadership to engineering teams.
  • Provide hands-on expertise across C++, C#, .NET, Node.js and React.
  • Modernize legacy ASP.NET MVC / AngularJS applications toward modern React-based architectures.
  • Architect secure REST APIs and Azure/AWS cloud solutions.
  • Design and improve enterprise CI/CD and DevOps practices.
  • Establish architecture governance through HLDs, LLDs, ADRs, interface contracts and technical standards.
  • Drive application security, IAM, TLS/SSL, encryption and secrets-management standards.
  • Mentor engineering teams and collaborate with product, business and compliance stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years as a Principal Engineer or Software Architect.
  • Expert-level experience with C++, C#, .NET Framework, Web API, WCF, Node.js and React.
  • Strong experience with Azure AD, MSAL, JWT and enterprise IAM.
  • Strong SQL Server architecture and performance-tuning experience.
  • Experience with Azure and AWS cloud environments.
  • Strong CI/CD, DevOps, cloud migration and application modernization expertise.
  • Experience with IIS, PowerShell, TLS/SSL and application security.
  • Previous experience within Life Sciences, Medical Devices, Healthcare Technology or Industrial IoT strongly preferred.
  • Strong client-facing communication and technical leadership skills.
