Job description

Experteer Overview In this role, you will design and implement high-performance datapath solutions for routers powering data centers, AI fabrics, and service provider networks. You will join a close-knit, flat team at Nokia, shaping next-generation IP products with low latency, resilience, and scalability. You'll tackle advanced packet forwarding and traffic-management challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, well-tested code. This position offers the chance to work with cutting-edge silicon, open-source contributions, and a strong engineering culture focused on excellence. Compensation / Benefits * Design and implement datapath solutions on custom and merchant silicon * Write modular, well-tested, robust code for high-standards networks * Develop advanced packet forwarding techniques (IP, MPLS, Segment Routing, VXLANs) * Contribute to Traffic Management technologies (QoS, Policers, Schedulers, ACLs, TCAM) and Packets-to-CPU handling * Optimize performance with DPDK and similar technologies for high-throughput systems * Work in virtualized Linux environments (KVM, Docker) * Collaborate with cross-functional teams (PM, testers) to deliver customer-driven solutions * Maintain robust coding practices with unit tests and documentation * Possibly contribute to open-source networking projects (desirable) * Support ongoing learning and professional development Tasks * Bachelor's degree with 3-10 years of experience * Proven experience in packet forwarding technologies (IP, MPLS, Segment Routing, VXLANs) * Experience with QoS technologies (Policers, Schedulers, ACLs) and TCAM management * Hands-on experience with DPDK for high-performance packet processing * Proficiency in C/C++ with a networking focus * Contributions to SONiC or other open-source networking projects (desirable) * Experience in virtualized Linux environments (KVM, Docker) * Methodical problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Passive passion for networking technologies and high-performance systems Key requirements * Flexible and hybrid working schemes * 90 days of maternity/paternity leave * Life insurance * Well-being programs * Nokia Employee Resource Groups (NERGs) * Career & skills development
