Job description
- Technical leadership and further development of the Web Technology division, as well as coordination and support of the Web Technology team
- Responsibility for the technical architecture, quality assurance, and further development of digital platforms and web offerings (e.g., websites, intranet, learning management systems, digital services, AI-based applications, cloud and hosting environments) as well as existing systems and applications of the City of Erlangen
- Planning, prioritizing, and managing web projects and digitization initiatives, including the relaunch of erlangen.de, the development of web-based interfaces, and the introduction of new digital services
- Ensuring IT security, data protection, availability, and digital accessibility of the applications and platforms under our management
- Advising and supporting departments in the use and further development of digital offerings, including user support, training, user, role, and permission management, as well as coordination with internal IT units and external service providers
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Diplom degree (from a university of applied sciences) in computer science, web communication, or a comparable field of study
- Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in communication, conflict resolution, and teamwork
- Experience in traditional and agile project management/Scrum and process optimization is desirable
- Knowledge of IT security (e.g., SSL/TLS, certificate management, web application security), monitoring and availability management, as well as common web technologies (e.g., HTML5, CSS, JavaScript), open-source CMS systems, interface and API management, Microsoft Azure, LLMs, UI/UX design, and WCAG/BITV
- Willingness and ability to quickly acquire any missing qualifications through continuing education and self-study
