They face multiple challenges associated with high performance, distributed systems, and processing large volumes of data in real time.The Vonage Verify API team is looking at expanding its size, in order to accelerate our product development to support our growing customer base, with a particular focus on adding new channels, enhanced anti-fraud measures and integration with Networks APIs to our next-generation two-factor authentication platform.Our Engineers work on an exciting mix of both greenfield and existing projects, giving them an opportunity to explore new technologies.What you will doCreate scalable microservices that will help support our impressive growthPropose scalable, maintainable and cost effective solutionsEstimate the effort required to develop and deliver new product featuresImplement and execute effective testing strategies, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests, to ensure software quality and reliabilityDesign and develop approaches to measure, evaluate and improve service qualityParticipate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback to peers, and actively contribute to maintaining a high standard of code quality and development practicesContribute to the documentation of the components, design patterns, and the design system to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team membersStay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging frontend technologies, and share knowledge and expertise with the development team to continuously improve our development processes and standardsTech StackMicroservices architectureJava, Kotlin, GoSpring Boot, Webflux, ReactiveAWSKafkaRedis, PostgreSQLDocker, Kubernetes, HelmGrafana, Prometheus, ELK stackAnything needed to achieve our goalsWhat you will bring:Excellent software engineering skills for backend servicesWork closely with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Operations, and Product Management to ensure seamless integration of new features and services with a focus on reliability, scalability, and performanceEffective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.A strong focus on testingAn understanding of object oriented design and standard design patternsStrong experience of multi-threaded, 3-tier architectures, web services, caching, and dealing with event-driven pipelinesWillingness to learn and use different technologies and programming languagesFirst hand knowledge of Continuous Deployment tools and methodologiesExperience working with public cloud.
