Job description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Cloud Engineer to manage, optimize, and oversee cloud infrastructure, systems architecture, and deployment operations. In this role, you will act as a vital link between cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders, ensuring smooth end-to-end cloud performance, cost efficiency, and strict adherence to industry standards and security metrics.
Core Responsibilities
Cloud Systems Management: Coordinate daily cloud infrastructure activities, including capacity planning, resource tracking, deployment oversight, and vendor follow-ups.
Compliance & Standards: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and ensure all cloud architectures and operations align with company SOPs and regulatory security requirements.
Data Integrity & Systems Analytics: Perform accurate configurations and monitoring in cloud/DevOps platforms, leveraging data modeling and telemetry to track KPIs (uptime, latency, resource utilization).
Risk & Monitoring: Monitor system reliability and service disruptions, promptly escalating risks and security bottlenecks to relevant stakeholders and platform providers.
Quality & Process Optimization: Author and maintain standard operational reports, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, automation, and internal/external infrastructure audits.
Liaison & Collaboration: Serve as a primary point of contact for external cloud service providers, platform vendors, and internal cross-functional engineering teams., Targeted Placement: Direct marketing to our network of hiring managers in the Cloud and Technology sectors.
Technical Resume Rebuild: Optimization of your profile to highlight cloud engineering expertise alongside analytical and operational skills.
Interview Coaching: Guidance on technical interviews and cloud architecture case studies.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Cloud Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (Required).
Experience: 0-5 years of experience in cloud administration, DevOps, systems engineering, or IT operations planning.
Technical Skills (Required):
Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure principles, architecture, and resource provisioning.
Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code or monitoring tools (e.g., Terraform, Docker, Power BI, CloudWatch).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and network security protocols.
Excellent documentation, system logging, and data-driven technical problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
Certification (or eligibility) for AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or GCP Cloud Engineer.
Experience with cost optimization, cloud security, and automated deployment modeling.
Knowledge of Agile/DevOps methodologies or basic IT project management principles.
