Reginal Development Applications Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you support complex overlay measurement systems, working with engineering, sales, and customers to demonstrate capabilities and enable tool adoption. You will design experiments, model optical applications, and develop data-driven insights to improve product performance. You'll lead demos, provide escalation support, and help transfer knowledge to a global apps team. This opportunity sits in Central Engineering, contributing to KLA's innovation-led growth in semiconductor metrology. Compensation / Benefits * Provide high level applications support for complex overlay measurement systems * Manage in-house customer demonstrations and head-to-head activities at customer sites * Conduct new tool demonstrations to showcase performance and develop use cases to drive sales * Design experiments to characterize tool/subcomponent performance across alpha, beta, and pilot ramp phases * Develop recipes to model optical applications and optimize tool performance * Provide escalation support and coordinate remote/local troubleshooting with onsite field service * Characterize next generation overlay measurement products and publish results/recommendations * Design test plans, analyze data, and share knowledge via applications notes and best practices * Create training materials and transfer production knowledge to global apps support team * Collaborate with division system and algorithm teams to develop offline data analysis tools Tasks * MS or PhD in Physics or related engineering fields (optics, materials science, microelectronics) * Excellent problem solving and analytical skills * Superb communication and interpersonal skills * Self-driven, independent, and a strong team player * Proficient in English; experience working with diverse cultures * Matlab/Python experience is a plus Key requirements * medical * dental * vision * 401(K) including company matching * employee stock purchase program (ESPP) * tuition reimbursement
