Compensation / Benefits * Lead and grow software engineers and technical leads through coaching, performance management, and career development * Build effective teams via hiring, onboarding, and clear accountability * Own delivery across scope, quality, timelines, risks, budget, and readiness; translate strategy into plans with stakeholders * Guide architecture, design, code quality, and day-to-day execution for Java, Angular, AWS, microservices, and related tech * Promote automated testing, CI/CD, observability, production support, and reliability practices * Improve delivery, quality, and reliability using engineering metrics; strengthen incident response and root-cause analysis * Support responsible adoption of AI-assisted software development with proper controls * Partner with product, architecture, QA, operations, and business leaders to align priorities and outcomes * Manage staffing and budgets for significant software initiatives * Lead and develop senior engineers and technical leaders to influence culture and execution Tasks * 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience * Experience managing or leading software engineering teams including senior or lead-level engineers * Strong understanding of full SDLC including architecture, development, testing, deployment, production support, performance, and reliability * Experience leading complex, business-critical software initiatives using Java, Angular, AWS or similar tech * Experience partnering with business/product leaders to define priorities and tradeoffs * Experience managing staffing, delivery planning, dependencies, risk, and budgets for large tech initiatives * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience * Strong communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills * Experience with cloud-native architecture, microservices, APIs, distributed systems, DevOps, automated delivery, and observability * Exposure to AI-assisted software development and modern engineering practices * Experience in high-volume, customer-facing, transactional, retail/ecommerce/financial services environments * Experience managing multiple teams, technical leads, vendors, or distributed engineering partners Key requirements * competitive compensation * annual bonus eligibility * comprehensive benefits
