Regional Development Applications Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will support and demonstrate advanced overlay measurement systems for semiconductor tooling, collaborating with engineering, sales and customer teams. You will design experiments, model optical applications, and translate results into actionable product enhancements and customer value. You will help drive tool adoption through hands-on demonstrations and targeted use cases at customer sites. Compensation / Benefits * Provide high-level applications support for complex overlay measurement systems across internal divisions and customer sites * Lead in-house demonstrations and head-to-head activities to showcase tool performance and develop sales-use cases * Design experiments to characterize tool performance across alpha, beta, and ramp stages to enable adoption at customer facilities * Develop optical application recipes and optimize tool performance * Escalation support and troubleshooting with onsite field service engineers * Characterize next-generation overlay products, design test plans, analyze data, publish results * Create training materials and transfer knowledge to worldwide apps support teams * Collaborate with division system and algorithm teams to develop offline data-analysis tools and feature development Tasks * PhD in Physics or related engineering fields (optics, materials science, microelectronics) * Excellent problem solving and analytical skills * Strong communication and interpersonal abilities * Self-driven, independent, and collaborative team player * Proficiency in English; working with diverse cultures * Matlab/Python experience is a plus Key requirements * medical, dental, vision * 401(K) with company match * employee stock purchase program (ESPP) * tuition reimbursement * development and career growth opportunities * paid time off and holidays
