(Remote) DevOps Team Lead

Experteer Overview In this role you will design and run scalable AWS-based infrastructure and drive modern deployment practices for a leading life insurer. You'll coach engineers, own complex production deployments, and advance automation across CI/CD, IaC, and platform tooling. You'll align with enterprise architecture to improve reliability and speed, while shaping a high-performing engineering culture. Compensation / Benefits * Lead design and management of scalable AWS infrastructure and guide complex technical initiatives * Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines) and Terraform IaC * Oversee successful production deployments and drive automation, rollback, and verification * Shape the team's implementation strategy and improvement roadmaps in line with architecture * Foster production ownership, performance management, and hiring participation * Communicate technical direction and documentation across leadership and teams * Enforce security, compliance, and change/incident processes * Develop a shared engineering platform with automation and self-service capabilities * Explore AI-enabled automation to boost productivity and reliability * Mentor engineers and set quality standards and reviews Tasks * 7+ years in DevOps, cloud infrastructure or platform engineering * Proven AWS experience and cloud migration involvement * Extensive CI/CD experience; Bitbucket Pipelines preferred * Terraform proficiency for IaC * Strong knowledge of Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket) * Solid containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) * Experience leading incident response and production reliability * Ability to mentor, manage performance, and align with organizational standards Key requirements * Salary: $138,000 - $178,000 * Medical, dental, and vision insurance * Employer-paid life and AD&D * Disability insurance (short and long-term) * 401(k) with company match * PTO and sick time; annual bonus program
