Experteer Overview As a Performance Architect, you take end-to-end ownership of performance as a core architectural concern for our Sportsbook platform. You will focus on frontend performance while leveraging infrastructure, networking, and distributed systems knowledge to collaborate with Architects, DevOps, and engineering teams. You'll shape performance across web, mobile, and platform layers, aiming for low latency and scalable user experiences in a high-traffic real-time environment. This role offers impact across current and future sportsbook initiatives, with a clear focus on customer-perceived latency and system resilience. Compensation / Benefits * Define and own the performance architecture for Sportsbook applications with emphasis on frontend performance and customer-perceived latency * Set and maintain performance-related non-functional requirements across web, mobile, and platform layers * Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Architecture to align performance goals with business objectives * Drive frontend performance best practices (rendering/hydration, asset loading, caching, CDN usage) and review designs for performance impact * Identify bottlenecks across infrastructure, networking, cloud/Kubernetes, APIs and backend dependencies with Solution/Platform Architects and DevOps * Contribute to architectural decisions and roadmaps for long-term scalability and performance sustainability * Define and promote performance measurement standards, tooling, and dashboards * Lead performance analysis, load testing, and capacity planning with relevant teams * Participate in incident reviews and feed performance learnings back into design * Act as a performance ambassador and mentor teams to raise performance maturity * Communicate performance trade-offs clearly to engineering, product, and non-technical stakeholders Tasks * Strong experience with frontend performance engineering in large-scale, high-traffic systems * Understanding of web architectures, modern frontend frameworks, HTTP, caching, and CDNs * Cloud infrastructure experience (preferably AWS) and containerized environments (Kubernetes) * Experience designing and reviewing systems with performance, scalability, and resilience in mind * Experience in architectural or cross-team technical roles and influencing decisions Key requirements * hybrid work-from-home model (3 days in office, 2 from home) * opportunity to work on mission-critical real-time platform * collaboration with experienced architects and engineering leaders * global, diverse team * growth and impact on customer experience * dynamic and innovative culture
