Experteer Overview In this role you will develop embedded firmware for next-gen solid-state protection devices, shaping a new product category. You'll work with a cross-functional team to turn semiconductor and protection tech into scalable solutions. You'll tackle hardware drivers, protection, metering, communication, and UI firmware to enable robust power protection. You'll contribute to IP and product innovation while collaborating with labs, universities, and internal centers of excellence. This role offers hybrid work from Moon Township, PA and a pathway to meaningful impact in electrical protection technology. Compensation / Benefits * Develop embedded firmware for bare metal and RTOS systems * Create control and electrical fault management firmware and algorithms * Plan work with detailed, trackable requirements and issue tracking * Collaborate via central repository (GitHub) for firmware development * Manage tasks and bugs using Jira; contribute to code reviews and documentation * Leverage AI-based firmware tools to improve throughput * Document specifications and code comments; conduct design and quality reviews * Test own work and others' to meet quality and reliability goals * Participate in technical research and investigations * Collaborate with ERL, Electrical Sector Center of Excellence, and external labs/universities for innovation * Generate value-added intellectual property Tasks * Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science) * Minimum 3 years' experience developing embedded firmware for electronic controls * No relocation benefit; candidates within 50 miles of Moon Township, PA (except Active Duty exceptions) Key requirements * Health and Welfare benefits * Retirement benefits * Paid and unpaid time off * Hybrid work arrangement * Sponsorship assistance for qualified candidates
