Senior Software Engineer, GGN Emulation and Infrastructure Productivity

Experteer Overview Lead core emulation projects and architect GGN's virtualization infrastructure with Kubernetes to accelerate testing and reduce physical lab needs. Provide high-level technical leadership to emulation engineers, conducting architectural reviews and solving complex bottlenecks. Drive modernization of EngProd using Google technologies and cloud-native patterns, while promoting automated testing, code health, and agile practices. Collaborate with service owners to shape end-to-end testing and scalable software managing global traffic, contributing to a reliable, high-performance network. Compensation / Benefits * Lead core emulation projects and drive architecture of virtualization infrastructure using Kubernetes * Provide technical leadership and resolve complex bottlenecks for the emulation team * Perform architectural reviews and define design and implementation strategies * Evaluate and integrate Google technologies and cloud-native patterns to modernize EngProd stack * Establish and promote automated testing, code health, and agile practices across the organization * Partner with service owners to architect end-to-end testing strategies from functional to staging environments * Ensure scalability and reliability of software managing Google's global traffic * Support cross-functional collaboration to raise engineering standards Tasks * Bachelor's degree in any field or equivalent practical experience * 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages * 3 years of software architecture experience * 3 years of experience with network virtualization * 3 years of experience with Kubernetes * 3 years of experience with Github Key requirements * 15% bonus target * equity * benefits
