Job description
Senior Microsoft Copilot administrator responsible for onboarding, training, administration, security, compliance, and tenant readiness for Copilot and Microsoft 365 services. Leads migrations, identity and access management, troubleshooting, adoption roadmaps, analytics, documentation, and stakeholder engagement across Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Power Platform, and related technologies., This position is the primary Microsoft Copilot administrator and user adoption specialist. They will provide onboarding, training, development, and support for Microsoft Copilot driven solutions as well as administration, data security, compliance, and tenant readiness. In addition to education, workshops, training, and solution support, the role will also develop business analytics and information architecture for the Microsoft 365 Collaboration team. This person will work closely with both technical and end-user teammates at all levels within the organization. This position will proactively address requests for agentic solutions, accelerate onboarding and training for Copilot users, and provide more hands-on support throughout the development lifecycle. The Copilot administrator is expected to research upcoming new or deprecated features within the Microsoft Power Platform as well as other LLMs and AI platforms. This position will also be a technical resource for Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, the Power Platform, OneDrive for Business, and Viva Engage. They should also be able to answer functional questions and provide guidance on how best to integrate Microsoft Copilot and its various services (Chat, Agents, Cowork, Researcher, Studio) within the boundaries of Advocate Health governance policies.
Pay Range: $47.50 - $71.25
Major Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage Active Directory domains, user accounts, group policies, and related identity services in a hybrid enterprise environment.

Architect, deploy, and manage Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), including hybrid identity scenarios, federation, conditional access, and integration with on-premises Active Directory.

Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft 365 Copilot.

Own identity, permissions, licensing, and access controls across the Microsoft ecosystem, ensuring alignment with security, compliance, and governance standards.

Lead planning and execution of migrations from legacy systems to Microsoft 365, including tenant configuration, data migration, and deployment of new services and features.

Provide advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex identity and collaboration issues; proactively monitor platform health and implement performance and reliability improvements.

Implement, maintain, and continuously improve security controls related to identity, access, data protection, and collaboration services.

Ensure Microsoft environments meet regulatory, privacy, and organizational compliance requirements, partnering with security and compliance teams as needed.

Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams and business stakeholders to support enterprise collaboration initiatives and shared objectives.

Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures; provide guidance and mentorship to associate- and mid-level engineers., Ensure data security, compliance, and tenant readiness.
Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize performance.
Develop adoption roadmap and KPIs.
Align Copilot use cases with business goals.
Manage executive sponsorship and stakeholder buy-in
Create training materials and workshops.
Develop personas and role-based use cases.
Provide ongoing support and feedback loops.
Monitor adoption metrics and user engagement.
Identify usage gaps and improvement opportunities.
Report ROI and success stories to leadership.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Computer Science or related field.
Experience Required:
Minimum of five years of IT experience with extensive knowledge of Microsoft 365 is required., Strong understanding of Active Directory, Azure AD, and Microsoft 365 technologies.
Strong Active Directory administration and management experience with the ability to analyze requirements and translate them into technical configurations
Experience with Windows Server, Group Policy and related technologies.
Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell for automation.
Strong understanding of identity and access management concepts (authentication, authorization, conditional access)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
