Senior DevOps Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you own the GitHub platform for a modern Windows-focused product group, shaping runners, images, workflows, and release plumbing that product teams rely on. You collaborate with a tight-knit engineering team to improve the platform and enable faster, more reliable builds. You will govern Copilot-enabled workflows and ensure secure, scalable CI/CD across Windows and Linux environments. This is a chance to architect and drive a critical tooling platform with real impact on product delivery. Compensation / Benefits * Design and maintain shared GitHub Actions CI/CD workflows and reusable components for C#/.NET and C++/CMake/vcpkg paths * Own the NuGet ecosystem end-to-end including internal feed, artifacts, versioning, and CI restore * Operate the runner fleet (cloud Windows-first with GPU support) using custom images (Packer/Azure Image Builder) * Manage packaging, signing, and release processes (WiX, NuGet packaging, Authenticode signing, SemVer, changelogs) * Provide test integration surfaces in CI (VSTest/MSTest/NUnit/xUnit; C++ tests; hardware-in-the-loop) * Develop automation and observability tooling (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and treat infrastructure as code for reproducibility * Drive supply-chain security (Authenticode, SBOMs, Sigstore/cosign, Dependabot/CodeQL/Trivy, OIDC) * Run platform as a product (SLOs, DR, audits; on-call; blameless post-mortems) * Triage and triage leadership: act as GitHub platform SME; separate platform vs code issues; forge clean tickets with logs * Embed with product teams; maintain runbooks and documentation as deliverables Tasks * BS in Computer Science or equivalent * 3+ years in DevOps/SRE in production * CI/CD at scale with GitHub Actions and cloud-hosted VM runners (custom images) and OIDC * GPU-enabled cloud VMs and GPU passthrough for test workloads * C#/.NET across .NET Framework 4.8-9 and .NET Standard 2.0; C++ on Windows (MSVC, vcpkg, CMake); Linux extensions * Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, Bash, and YAML with Copilot assistance * Windows Server administration and Linux competence; container-based CI/CD workloads; appropriate orchestrator * Git/GitHub platform proficiency (PRs, environments, REST/GraphQL APIs, GHCR) * IaC with Terraform or Pulumi; observability with Prometheus/Grafana/OpenTelemetry * Supply-chain security and secret management (Vault/KMS), image signing, SBOMs, SAST/DAST in pipelines * Hands-on Copilot on GitHub (PR review, Copilot in Actions, Copilot Chat) Key requirements * health, dental, vision coverage * life and disability insurance * PTO * 401(k) with employer match * Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP) * wellness initiatives
