Job description

A Temporary Software Engineer / API Developer is needed to support the development and integration of a data processing platform. The role focuses on delivering production-ready RESTful APIs and creating SDLC-compliant documentation to enable integration with enterprise IT systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years relevant industry experience.

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Python
  • Git source code management (branching and merge strategies)
  • Designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Developing and supporting production software applications
  • Relational databases and SQL
  • Integrating applications with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Databricks)
  • Familiarity with software development and deployment environments, including cloud technologies such as AWS

Documentation & Quality

  • Experience authoring SDLC-compliant documentation
  • Understanding of software testing methodologies, validation practices, and deployment processes
  • Ability to create clear technical and user-facing documentation

Collaboration & Communication

  • Experience working within cross-functional teams
  • Ability to collaborate with business, scientific, and IT stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and project-tracking skills using tools such as JIRA and Confluence, * Experience supporting scientific, research, or data-driven applications
  • Familiarity with data processing workflows and enterprise application integration
  • Experience working within regulated/compliance-sensitive environments
  • Exposure to biologics, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences organizations
