Senior Software Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you design and implement web applications for a scalable cloud service within a highly available, secure SaaS platform. You work in a cross-functional team with architects to drive robust designs and deliver production-grade code. You mentor juniors and prioritize code quality while remaining customer-focused to solve real problems. You collaborate across teams to optimize architectures, data models, and delivery processes. Compensation / Benefits * Work in a cross-functional Scrum team from requirements to production code * Collaborate with software architects to optimize designs * Inspect iterative results and propose improvements to techniques, tools, and processes * Co-own Definition of Done with peers and maintain high code quality * Mentor junior developers and help raise the team capability * Engage with customers to understand pain points and deliver solutions Tasks * 5+ years designing and developing highly scalable and performant enterprise-grade applications * Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases and caching (MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra) * Experience integrating with RESTful APIs using JSON and XML * Strong knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (React, AngularJS, Backbone, Ember) and UX fundamentals * Cross-platform and cross-browser troubleshooting experience * Experience with JMS frameworks (ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ) * Aptitude for data modeling for SQL and NoSQL * Experience with Azure, AWS and other SaaS cloud platforms * Ability to provide soft leadership and technical mentoring to junior staff Key requirements * medical, dental, and vision coverage * 401(k) with company match * paid time off and holidays * parential leave * professional development reimbursement
