Experteer Overview In this role you will design, develop, and sustain cloud-enabled software for a large-scale, cross-functional product team. You will work on agile development for systems integrated into big compute clusters, delivering new capabilities and optimizing performance. You'll guide junior engineers, review designs, and ensure software integrates with COTS/GOTS products. The position emphasizes modern cloud tech, security-conscious delivery, and mission-focused impact within a national security context. Compensation / Benefits * Design & develop new capabilities for cloud-based products * Perform requirements analysis, software design, development, installation, integration, and maintenance * Test, optimize, and monitor software for performance and reliability * Provide guidance and code reviews to junior programmers/analysts * Develop/integrate solutions with COTS/GOTS products * Create/test plans, SOPs, and technical documentation Tasks * Strong experience with Java programming * Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible and Puppet * Experience with CI/CD, testing, and monitoring practices * Java development for distributed systems, networking, and multi-threading * Agile development with source control practices * Linux fundamentals and scripting (e.g., Python, Ruby, Perl) * Familiarity with microservices and Kubernetes; containerization with Docker * Rotating Tier III On-Call and possible surge support * Active TS/SCI with Polygraph * AWS or cloud certification options listed (various) * UNIX/Linux (Red Hat) experience * Software integration and testing experience Key requirements * heavily subsidized medical, dental, and vision coverage * 25 days of PTO * 10 paid holidays each year * annual bonus opportunity * challenging mission-focused work with modern cloud technologies at enterprise scale
