Software Engineer, UI/UX

Lightship's mission to modernize and electrify RVs demands building cutting edge electronics and controls. We are seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Android UI/UX and Systems Interfacing. In this role, you will be the primary architect of the user experience as it relates to vehicle controls and transforming telemetry data from the Lightship RV into an intuitive mobile interface. You will also contribute to the development and implementation of our cloud infrastructure. To succeed, you will develop a strong understanding of how our systems work and how the users interact with them., * Design and build engaging applications for Android and iOS platforms.

• Work closely with backend developers to integrate APIs, third-party libraries, and cloud services (like Firebase) to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.
• Collaborate with our third-party development team on new features and releases.
• Develop, maintain, and extend cloud server applications and infrastructure.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment, and collaborate with designers, product managers, and test engineers.
• Adhere to best practices and coding standards, conduct code reviews, and maintain clear documentation for future upgrades and utilization., Lead PCIe bring-up, characterization, validation, and debugging for SSD controller SoCs. Develop hardware/system specifications, integrate and validate PCIe IP, build automated system-level validation and compliance tests, perform root-cause analysis, collaborate with cross-functional teams and external IP vendors, and drive infrastructure, methodology, and AI-assisted tooling improvements to increase validation efficiency and coverage.
