Ashish Shubham directs engineering as a Fellow and VP at ThoughtSpot, where he builds AI and data platforms. Over the past decade, he created ThoughtSpot Embedded and co-designed Spotter, their AI Analyst. He is also the author of Architecting AI Data Systems.
He currently focuses on how AI securely interacts with enterprise data. He argues that modern AI agents should be built like microservices—a concept he breaks down in his talk on using the Model Context Protocol (MCP) as a service boundary.
