Daniel Branski

Platform engineer modernizing mission-critical banking systems from legacy mainframe to Java.

Daniel Branski modernizes massive legacy systems without breaking daily operations. At Finanz Informatik, he builds the data and intelligence platform that powers banking for over 50 million customers across the German Sparkasse Finance Group.

He recently guided the shift of a central data warehouse off mainframes and onto a decentralized architecture. Rather than just rewriting old code, Daniel focuses on extracting actual business value from legacy COBOL and translating it into modular Java services. His work combines broad system design with strict query optimization, making heavy banking infrastructure easier for developers to maintain.
