David Soria Parra builds protocols for AI models at Anthropic. He co-created the Model Context Protocol (MCP), where he now leads technical direction, governance, and ecosystem development.
Before his work on AI agents and trust boundaries, David spent nearly a decade leading engineering organizations at Meta and served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Sutter Hill Ventures.
He is a long-time open-source contributor with a history of building tools for PHP, Git, and Mercurial. He is based in London.
