George Proorocu

George Proorocu secures banking infrastructure against fraud at ING Bank. He focuses on the practical ways scammers use AI to bypass corporate defenses, frequently speaking on how synthetic identities and deepfakes threaten modern organizations.

Recognized by the Financial Times as one of their “100 Faces of Innovation,” he also teaches an introductory cybersecurity course that has reached over 150,000 students.

Outside of the security world, George won the 2004 Romanian Chess Championship with his club team and sold his first internet service provider by age 18.
