Hendrik Ebbers directs open source strategy at Hashgraph and founded Open Elements. A Java Champion, he serves on the Eclipse Foundation’s Board of Directors and leads the Linux Foundation’s Hiero project, focusing on decentralized ledger technology.
He frequently shares his work on shared open source governance, software supply chain security, and building applications with smart contracts. His approach centers on maintaining healthy, multi-stakeholder ecosystems that avoid single-vendor dominance.
When he is not contributing to public DLTs or JakartaEE, Hendrik runs the Dortmund Java User Group and plays board games.
