Jenny Hwang researches how people build software. At GitHub, she leads the user research team to explore the future of development as AI and agentic tools become the norm.
Her work looks at the entire development lifecycle, rather than just writing code. She speaks on how developers and business teams can use tools like GitHub Copilot for prioritization, documentation, and cross-team coordination to change how their organizations operate.
When she isn’t researching developer habits, she teaches user experience design at York University and BrainStation.
