John Komarnicki builds spaces where engineers learn together. As National Executive Advisor for Code & Coffee, he helps guide a volunteer community of over 80,000 developers across North America.
His engineering background covers cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and artificial intelligence. Today, John focuses on how grassroots knowledge networks help teams adapt to rapid shifts in agentic AI and open-weight models.
He holds a master’s degree in computer science from DePaul University and lives in San Francisco.
