Markus Schlegel designs functional software architectures at Active Group. He has been working to free programming from the von Neumann bottleneck since 1991.
His technical interests range from GUI design to concurrency and formal methods. He focuses on practical applications of pure functions and immutable data, showing developers how to build clear domain models using the “functional core, imperative shell” strategy in Kotlin.
When he steps away from the keyboard, Markus rides his road bike, reads Marx, and plays fetch with his daughter.
