Michael Jaeger

System software architect aligning distributed groups and APIs.

Michael Jaeger modernizes complex solution stacks at Rohde & Schwarz. Instead of just writing code, he focuses on the human element behind technical transformations—helping distributed engineering groups design cohesive systems.

Before this, he drove open-source governance at Siemens and built partner ecosystems for Canonical. His talk on untangling Conway’s Law via API-first design highlights why effective architecture often requires more cross-team negotiation than programming when dealing with historical legacy boundaries.

He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and has served as a maintainer for major open-source projects across both the Linux and Eclipse Foundations.
