Nikolai Sidiropulo builds large-scale iOS infrastructure at Meta. He currently focuses on the Instagram app, tackling startup performance, rendering, and network efficiency for billions of users.
Mobile performance is often invisible until a user abandons a slow app. Nikolai builds systems to measure and fix exactly this. He focuses on tracking percentiles instead of averages and using abandonment curves to map latency directly to business impact.
Before Instagram, he designed privacy architectures for Meta Audience Network, led mobile projects at T-Bank, and ran the iOS engineering department at Vivid Money.
