Sagar Sharma researches differential privacy and privacy measurement at the TikTok Privacy Innovation Lab. He looks for ways to stress-test privacy-enhancing technologies by putting them under real-world pressure.
He leads research for the PET ARENA program, a series of cybersecurity competitions built around adversarial red teaming. Recently, he helped launch a capture-the-flag tournament that pits data defenders directly against red-team auditors, challenging engineers and researchers to build and break custom privacy-preserving mechanisms.
