Stefan Lederer builds video technology as the CEO and co-founder of Bitmovin. Before launching the company, he helped co-create the MPEG-DASH standard—the streaming format that now powers over half of US internet traffic across platforms like Netflix and YouTube.
His background spans computer science research, holding over 25 papers and 10 patents in multimedia delivery. Recently, his talks have explored the unit economics of AI. Prior to founding his Y Combinator-backed startup, the former Forbes Austria 30 Under 30 honoree spent time at McKinsey, IBM, and Dolby.
