Thomas Jarzombek shapes Germany’s digital policy as Parliamentary State Secretary for Digital Transformation and Government Modernisation. A Member of the Bundestag since 2009, he focuses on technology legislation and start-up growth.
He previously served as the government’s aerospace coordinator and representative for the digital economy. His current work centers on advancing Europe’s position in global technology, specifically figuring out how to accelerate AI development and adoption across the continent.
Before entering federal politics, he spent years serving on the City Council in his hometown of Düsseldorf.
