Job description

Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH develops various military land vehicles with tracked and wheeled drive systems. Against the backdrop of increasing digitalization, modern vehicles are becoming more complex, and the integration and verification effort required is also growing. For this reason, the EDS department is looking for a Digital Systems Test Engineer (m/f/d).

Your tasks:

  • Creation of integration and verification concepts at the overall and subsystem level
  • Creation of requirement- and scenario-based test specifications
  • Specification of the necessary test environments and required simulators
  • Test configuration and automation via the dSPACE toolchain
  • Monitoring, controlling, and performing tests in laboratories and vehicles
  • Managing subcontractors in the area of integration and verification

Requirements

Do you have experience in TCP/IP?, * Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, computer science, or a comparable field

  • Several years of experience in (embedded) software integration and verification as well as hardware-in-the-loop testing
  • Experience with communication protocols such as CAN 2.0b, CANopen, SAE J1939
  • Experience with serial interfaces such as RS-232/422/485 and with Ethernet such as DDS, TCP/IP, Multicast, ICMP, IGMP
  • Experience with the dSPACE toolchain (SYNECT, AutomationDesk, ConfigurationDesk, ControlDesk)
  • Experience with Mathworks products such as MATLAB, Simulink, and toolboxes
  • Knowledge of ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 desirable
  • Very good written and spoken German and English
  • Structured and independent way of working as well as strong teamwork skills
  • Willingness to travel
