Job description

Build reliable applications that scale. At Smart Working, we're looking for a PHP Developer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you'll work with Laravel, Eloquent, and DTOs to deliver maintainable features, integrate APIs, and contribute to quality-first development practices. You'll collaborate with peers, write clean and tested code, and help us scale services that power global products., * Deliver production-ready features using PHP, Laravel, Eloquent, and DTO-based designs

  • Implement and test RESTful APIs and integrations (including Auth0)
  • Write and maintain unit tests, improving overall test coverage
  • Contribute to code quality and observability (SonarLint/SonarQube, Datadog logging/metrics)
  • Collaborate across teams, sharing knowledge and ensuring alignment with standards, * You'll deepen your expertise in Laravel, API integrations, and quality-first coding practices while collaborating with a large technical team (100+ engineers). Expect to grow through mentorship, structured feedback, and exposure to modern DevOps and cloud practices.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Unit testing?, * 3+ years of experience with PHP and Laravel, developing production-grade web applications

  • 2+ years working with Eloquent ORM and DTOs, structuring and managing data across application layers
  • Hands-on experience with unit testing (PHPUnit), writing and maintaining reliable test suites
  • Proficient in RESTful APIs and integration patterns, including authentication (Auth0) and distributed workflows
  • Hands-on with code quality and observability tools, such as SonarLint, SonarQube, or Datadog, * AWS cloud exposure (EC2, S3, Lambda)
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and deployment tools (Octopus Deploy)
  • Experience with distributed integration patterns such as Saga
