Senior DevOps Engineer- Based in Germany, Remote

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll be at the intersection of infrastructure, automation, and full-stack development - driving the scalability, reliability, and performance of Boomi's web and platform experiences. You will work within the Unified Experience domain while partnering closely with product engineering, platform, and SRE teams to design and evolve intelligent, AI-assisted DevOps systems that accelerate delivery and enhance developer productivity.

You'll also play a pivotal role in maintaining and optimizing key experience-layer solutions such as Market Reach, Platform Apps, Frameworks, and Boomi-on-Boomi processes, ensuring they operate seamlessly within our cloud ecosystem., * Design, build, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi).

• Implement containerized and serverless solutions (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Lambda) to support dynamic workloads and event-driven pipelines.
• Enhance developer productivity by evolving CI/CD pipelines and internal platforms that enable faster, safer, and more reliable delivery.
• Partner with engineering leadership to define infrastructure and DevOps best practices across multiple teams.

Full-Stack Development & Automation

• Contribute to backend and full-stack initiatives using Python, Node.js, or AWS Lambda for automation, performance testing, and workflow orchestration.
• Collaborate with product teams to build tools and microservices that integrate infrastructure with business logic (e.g., usage telemetry, deployment analytics).
• Leverage AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) to enhance code quality, performance optimization, and automation efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions to ensure architectural robustness and maintainability.

Performance, Reliability & Observability

• Own end-to-end system performance - identifying bottlenecks, running load tests, and implementing data-driven optimizations.
• Build observability frameworks using tools like New Relic to provide actionable insights into system health and latency.
• Apply AI/ML-driven analytics for predictive monitoring, auto-remediation, and anomaly detection.
• Define and maintain SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs to ensure high service reliability.

Tooling & Ecosystem Ownership

• Manage and optimize 3rd party integrations (Coveo, Segment, Pendo, Data Warehouse etc), ensuring data integrity, scalability, and alignment with Boomi's customer experience goals.
• Maintain and extend Boomi-on-Boomi workflows that automate internal operations, provisioning, and data synchronization across systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate these solutions into CI/CD and observability pipelines.

Security, Compliance & Cost Optimization

• Embed security-as-code within pipelines - implementing scanning, compliance checks, and secrets management.
• Partner with security and compliance teams to ensure alignment with SOC 2, ISO, and GDPR requirements.
• Lead FinOps initiatives to monitor and optimize cloud and SaaS service costs.

Collaboration & Technical Leadership

• Act as a DevOps domain expert - mentoring engineers, influencing design decisions, and driving adoption of best practices.
• Work closely with Product, UX, and Customer Success teams to align DevOps priorities with customer impact.
• Advocate for a culture of observability, automation, and continuous improvement across teams.

Do you have experience in Terraform?, * 6+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or full-stack engineering roles, with increasing technical ownership.

• Strong expertise in AWS services, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
• Proven experience with Python or Node.js, and familiarity with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda).
• Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and monitoring systems.
• Hands-on experience managing SaaS-based analytics platforms.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools and a passion for leveraging them to enhance efficiency.
• Strong understanding of observability, performance tuning, and incident response.
• Experience leading initiatives to improve developer experience, reliability, or cost efficiency.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a growth mindset.

Desirable Extras

• Experience implementing progressive delivery or GitOps workflows (ArgoCD, Flux).
• Familiarity with data pipelines and API integrations between SaaS tools (e.g., Pendo Segment Boomi).
• Background in SaaS, multi-tenant architectures, or platform engineering.
• Experience with AI-powered monitoring or AIOps systems.
• Proven ability to drive process automation and standardization across distributed engineering teams.
