Job description

Join GDIT as a SharePoint Systems Engineer and build an impactful career in enterprise IT, collaborating with people who are driven and resourceful like you., The SharePoint Systems Engineer will work with a team of Administrators, Engineers, and Architects to build a coalition environment for our U.S. Army Europe-Africa (USAREUR-AF) customer. The main job focus for the Systems Engineer is performing SharePoint Engineering and Administration functions. Secondarily, the Systems Engineer will also maintain system security, establish practices and procedures, monitor usage statistics and logs, develop baseline configurations, and troubleshoot system related problems. Remain current in operating systems/software analysis and technological developments and applications. Provide expertise and direction in the development or modification of software programs and applications to enhance an operating system. Experience with designing, developing, and implementing business solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, often integrated with SharePoint is a plus., As a SharePoint Systems Engineer, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of U.S. Army Europe-Africa (USAREUR-AF) . You will play a crucial role in supplying mission command support to the U.S. Army.

  • Provides technical guidance and leadership to engineers with less experience
  • Creates effective and clear documentation (EIPs, Build Guides, TTPs, etc.)
  • Detail oriented and organized; able to understand information systems and ensure accuracy of work
  • Performing SharePoint Engineering and Administration functions. Secondarily
  • Maintain system security, establish practices and procedures, monitor usage statistics and logs, develop baseline configurations, and troubleshoot system related problems.
  • Perform operating systems/software analysis and technological developments and applications.
  • Provide expertise and direction in the development or modification of software programs and applications to enhance an operating system.

Requirements

Microsoft Windows Server, Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Systems Engineer must have:

  • Education: Bachelor Degree; years of experience can be substituted for degree requirement
  • Experience: 8+ years of related Systems Engineering experience
  • Technical skills: Microsoft SharePoint Administration (3+ years); Proficient in SQL Server; DoD systems hardening (STIG, ACAS); Windows Operating Systems; Virtualized server environments; Server backups (snapshot, full, differential, incremental, retention policies); PowerShell scripting.
  • Security clearance level: Secret Level Security Clearance Required
  • US citizenship required
  • Role requirements: Candidate must possess DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification on Day 1; Candidate must obtain ITIL Foundation certification within 90 days of hire

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
